and all through the place
not a creature is stirring, not even a trace!
Well, we've thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days/4 night stay at a resort in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee with our "Ward party of Six" thanks to a "special friend" of missionaries to Haiti! He and his wife so generously gave up their timeshare so that we could enjoy time away with our family. He hasn't even ever met our family face to face, but loves blessing other people... and were we ever blessed! We were beyond blessed! We made a grocery list with all the wonderful traditional foods we shared in our lives together and made someone's day as we "borrowed" their Food City points card - giving them $0.15 off (per gallon) of their next gas purchase. We've cooked and eaten all of our favorites, played Rummikub, snacked, played S'Quarrels, BananaGrams, Millionaire Monopoly and Classic Monopoly all the way to the bitter end shopped at an "Outlet Mall" which was the perfect illustration for expectations vs reality! We rang in the new year with special guests: Katie and Thomas. Today we made our way to Knoxville and enjoyed a real mall and ate dinner at Olive Garden.... yum! Tomorrow begins our journey home and diving deep into the list of "to-dos" left to be done before we leave for the airport at 3:00 AM Wednesday... SO MUCH TO DO and SO LITTLE TIME. If you'd like to join us in praying - please do. We were able to sell the Prius and the check and our account has been cleared, we're just waiting anxiously on the clear title to arrive in the mailbox in Louisville! Please pray it arrives TOMORROW (since we know it hasn't arrived as of today)! That'd be a great miracle and would get things rolling in the right direction. And if it's not tomorrow, we pray that it arrives in His timing and He is glorified.
We hope to get Brynna all moved in to her new home in the next 48... But, it will be very hard to leave her. She's been shopping and has an outfit or two for any interview she may be able to get in the next little while. (Few days sounds too short and few weeks sounds too long... so, next "little while"...) Please pray with her as she seeks God's will for her next job and she ties up loose ends with her schooling. Vol States opens back up on Monday for her to be able to keep that ball rolling and set up her schedule.
Is it really and truly Saturday morning? I'm about to go into freak out mode with so many little things to remember and so many little things to get done. I have a fever blister starting on my lower lip. Ugh! "When I am afraid, I will trust in Him... He will keep in perfect peace who's mind is set on Him." So, I must go set my mind on Him! We hope to catch you up again soon. Thank you for your prayers! We love you ALL!!
